About the event
Featuring Ford v Ferrari, the movie, a tribute to 1966 Le Mans, as well as
the 50th Anniversary of the 1969 Shelby G.T. 350 and Shelby G.T. 500.
Ken Miles was one of Carroll Shelby’s most significant employees.
His talent spanned decades as a mechanic, innovator and foremost, a
magnificent driver. Miles helped in transforming Ford-powered race cars
to podium finishes. On September 14th, LASAAC will honor Miles and all
of the Shelby American Employees at the 21st Annual Employee Reunion.
We are honored to have Ken's son, Peter Miles, as our Guest of Honor!
We'll be having the Shelby Employee Reunion Luncheon from 11:30 AM
to 1:00 PM, followed by a panel discussion at 1:00 PM with some of the
original Shelby American Employees that led Shelby American and Ford
Motor Company to World Championships. This will be a first time ever
panel discussion with members of the original Shelby Team that were at
Le Mans in 1966 for the historic 1 - 2 - 3 finish for the GT40's, including:
- Charlie Agapiou
- Kerry Agapiou
- Jim O’Leary
- Mike Donovan
- Dave Friedman
